take him to a different Vet. some vets just aren%26#039;t terribly thorough. he obviously has something on his foot that is irritating him or it hurts for some reason. get a second opinion.|||sounds like your dog may have either an obsessive (neurological) habit and creating what is called a %26quot;acral lick granuloma%26quot; or he has an inhaled allergic condtion called Atopy, OR a food allergy. You need to go an allergist and get him an oral medication like an antihistamine (Chlorpheniramine, Hydroxyzine, etc..) or you may need to change his food to a hydrolyzed soy protein diet. Either way, he needs to see a DVM that can talk to you about ALLERGIES, not just a foot problem.

Vaccinations are causing these problems. High IgE levels in people mean that the person has an allergy. Dogs have been studied after receiving vaccines and found to have extremely high IgE levels.
We are and have been over vaccinating our dogs for 50 years. The people who invented the shots did not do a duration of immunity, just assumed that they should be given every year. A study was done and published in 1999 by Dr. Ron Schultz. The vaccinations are good for many, many years.

Chewing of the feet can be a sign of food allergy my dog used to do the same thing and get ear infections also, my vet did the same thing giving me that stupid cream it doesnt work because it is only treating the symptoms. After changing the food it will take about 4 weeks to notice a difference but it worked for my dog!! Start out by giving him immediate releif with benedryl. Then take one item out of his diet at a time for 1 month and see if you can spot it. For example, start with corn as that is the most common. Make sure none of the food you give him for a month (and this includes treats) has corn or a corn product. Next most common is wheat, then beef, then chicken. At least when you go back to the vet and the mention allergy testing, you have done that much and saved that much in vet visits.

I have a Dog (RR) w. a cream colored growth coming from 1of her foot pads on a back leg. rubber feeling 1/8"?
I have a Rhodesian ridgeback with a cream colored growth coming from one of her foot pads on a back leg. The flexible rubber feeling 1/8” extensions that are growing look like the underside of a starfish or live sand-dollar.
What could this possibly be?
How do I treat it?
(I will visit the vet in this week, but was hoping I could get a preliminary opinion)

My GSD has skin allergies which also cause problems with his paws. He had a hard but smooth white growth on the side of his toe nail right at the nail bed. The vet said it was a callus and popped it off. I%26#039;ve seen other growths on dogs feet that were caused by yeast infections. I%26#039;ve also seen warts on the paws as well (not sure how old your dog is). seriously. we had a dog come in once with the same thing, but it would move. the doctor cut it just to see if pus would come out and out wiggled a few small cocoeroaches. it was disgusting.
it happened that the dog had a small cut on her paw and picked up some roach eggs on a walk. a few weeks later they hatched, and between that time the cut had healed.|||I%26#039;ve had dogs all my life, Ridgebacks for 15 years, and I%26#039;ve never heard of something like this. But I would be very interested in knowing what it is, if you are willing to email me after your visit with your vet.

Is there a cream or a facewash I can use to take preventive measures against crows feet and aging skin?
I%26#039;m 28 and I am not showing any signs of wrinkles or crows feet, but I think I should start to use creams or facewash to prevent (at least for now) lines, crows feet etc. Right now, my routine is very basic. I wash my face with clean and clear deep action cream cleanser, but I don%26#039;t use any face cream. I don%26#039;t really wear make-up either. Fungus can%26#039;t survive in a strong alkaline environment.Soak your feet in mild bi-carb water mixture (half tea-spoon in 2 litres) after showering twice a day and gentle scrub them. Scrub your shower with bi-carb powder 2 times a week, and throw a little in with your washing. Make sure your clothes are thoroughly dried after washing.
You can use a cortisone steroid like Dermovate cream(Clobetasol Propianate) on your toes to help with inflamation and use in combination with Lamisil. 2 weeks to remove the problem but you should notice a difference with the Dermovate immediately (reduced redness and swelling). A little bicarb in your water (a pinch in a glass once a day) can improve body alkalinity (though strips calcium from your body so supplement that).
