Work outside in rubber boots constantly in all seasons. Every summer feet itch and break out and peel.|||If the Dr. prescribe that for you it means that you already have an infection. You need to treat the infection, and then work on preventing it from happening again. There are a variety of ways that you could try to prevent it, from changing socks during the day, to using foot powders, (along with changing socks if you%26#039;re able to); just taking your boots off as often as you can.
Also, the infection most likely resides within your boots, so without treating the source of the problem you%26#039;ll never really get rid of it. Try spraying some regular lysol in them after work and letting them sit for a few hours. And on your days off set them outside in the warm sun so that the sun actually can hit the inside of them, and that%26#039;ll really help kill those little fungi.
As for something that is really close to the cream, there is nothing over the counter that is close to it, you could try Lotrimin A/F; or ask your local Pharmacist they would know for sure.
